A new Bauwerk paint collection from the Hoxton allows fans of the brand to bring the hotels’ signature aesthetic into their own homes. Olivia Palamountain reports
Boutique hotel brand the Hoxton has collaborated with eco-friendly paint brand Bauwerk Colour on a new line of paints inspired by Hoxton neighbourhoods worldwide.
Entitled the “Neighbourhood Collection”, the range features nine natural paint colours reflecting Hoxton’s international locales including Charlottenburg, Barcelona’s Poblenou, and the upcoming destinations of Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands and Edinburgh’s Haymarket.
Hoxton’s in-house design group AIME Studios collaborated with Bauwerk to curate the unique, sustainable shades of terracotta, grey, blue and pink, which are used throughout its hotel portfolio. Each colour pays homage to architectural details, textures and hues of the surrounding area rather than just reflecting the hotel interiors, from the sun-bleached hues of the residences and shop fronts that line Rambla del Poblenou to the patina of the aged, moss-framed sandstone which frames Edinburgh’s West End.
The Hoxton x Bauwerk Neighbourhood Collection (available online starting at ÂŁ30 per litre) features two unique paints per palette as well as a bridging colour, “House”, a soft, neutral connecting tone that completes the series.
The innovation is an interesting extension of the “Shoppable Hotels” trend, which you can read more about in our VOLT newsletter.
